My profile was on the site for about 24 hours when David wrote to me. He was in Melbourne and I was living in New York getting ready to move home within 6 months. Doing things the unconventional way can definately reap rewards
I'd been on AMM for months, had a few dates but nothing that really clicked and went beyond acquaintances. Then, as I was beginning to lose faith in the whole internet dating thing along she came. I read her profile and knew she was going to be someone who had the capacity to enchant my heart.

Wasn`t sure why I tried AMM but I am glad I did. After being a member for a week I talked to a lady who had quite a few interests the same as me. We talked for a few weeks before finally I went to meet her. It was the best thing that ever happened to me, she has travelled down from the country the last few weekends to see me and has now applied for a job very near here. Sometimes it just happens...
I was listed on Aussie for about 4 months before I got a message from the now love of my life. "Ben1111" (I think) For some reason or another I thought there wouldn't be enough in common to warrant going for a coffee and put it off time after time.
I had some bad experiences with a few dates.. and one day decided that the man of my dreams would find me.. if I just stopped looking. It was that week that I got another message from my man.. saying lets get together for coffee..
We decided to meet at the gardens cafe.. and I went with an open mind.. thinking that I would at least have another good coffee friend. 4 hours later we said goodbye and left the gardens.. I had the best day I had had for a very long time. He messaged me not long after saying he had a good time.. and I said the same. We have pretty much been together since then. I have 4 wonderful children and they love him just as much as I do.

Ive had my profile on AMM for about eight months and honestly didnt think I would meet any one genuine. But 2 months ago I had a message from a nice guy who was also good looking and thought yay for once someone decent.....after 6 weeks of messaging he wanted to meet, we hadnt even talked on the phone yet and he was willing to travel over 3 hours 2 meet me. We have now been seeing each other for 4 great weeks. We are both so happy that we have met and thank AMM because with out you this would never of happened. A very nice meeting
I was going to work in Geraldton for a while so I contacted a couple of ladies from there. One answered and we arranged to meet. We hit it off pretty well and I still am in contact with her. Just waiting for future developments as it is a 6 hour drive between our towns.

I went out with a wonderful guy when I was 20 years old and I am now 46.
Just recently I rejoined AMM and after 2 weeks responded to a profile only to discover I used to go out with this guy years ago.

We are two previous users of this site and feel compelled to give some feedback on the success we have experienced since meeting here.

Six months ago we both joined (on the same day incidentally) and contact was initiated via a wink. From that initial contact (despite the fact we lived well over a thousand klms apart) we developed a relationship over the next month through emails. This progressed onto phone calls and eventually a meeting. Having come to know each other through emails we already knew that our meeting would be a success on some level, what eventuated however was truly magical.

From the moment we laid eyes on each other it was absolute love at first sight and the scene was set for a romantic whirlwind. After our initial meeting we continued seeing each other regularly spending a small fortune on flights back and forth between our respective home towns. The times we were apart were spent emailing and texting each other to maintain contact until being apart could no longer be an option. I (Scotto1971) applied for a transfer at work and 3 days later was offered a position in Shelly6681's home town. Six months since our first contact (almost to the day) we are completely and totally in love and are living together in pure bliss and we are engaged to be married in 2006.

When we first joined this site the initial thoughts of each of us were of perhaps finding a friend to chat with, neither of us expected to find our soulmates.
